Sadhana is Indispensable
Sadhana means the practice of remembering God and focusing your mind on His divine form. When you commence your Sadhana, your mind will continue to wander back into this world. But you should not get disheartened and continue to practice, just the same way as you did when you were an infant. As a newborn, you were unable to even turn from side to side, but with persistent practice you learned to sit, stand and even walk.
Similarly practicing Sadhana may appear difficult in the beginning, but as you continue to practice, it will become a natural process in your life. For example, at first, someone starts to smoke or drink alcohol just for fun. But after repeated consumption, the mind automatically gets attached to these things and demands their consumption again and again. When the attachment of the mind to these dirty material things can become so strong, then who can resist the attraction to God, who is the ocean of bliss!
When you practice focusing your mind on the divine form of Hari and Guru, you experience a form of bliss. That experience is merely a glimpse and not the real bliss. Real bliss can only be attained after God realization. But even a faded glimpse of that bliss is so enchanting, that one would willingly leave the pleasures of the material world in an instant.
Therefore, practicing Sadhana is vital and inevitable. But this comes with practice. Initially you should make a firm resolve and force yourself to practice devotion. If you do not start the practice of devotion in this lifetime, you may have to wait for millions of lives before you again receive the human form. And in that lifetime, even if you are fortunate enough to get the association of a real saint, who imparts the knowledge of the self and the ultimate goal of life, you will still stand at the same place where you are at this moment. And, if in that lifetime too, you miss the opportunity yet again, then the same cycle will continue. This is what you have done since eternity. At this time, when by the special grace of God, everything is aligned i.e. You have
Hence, everyone must do Sadhana. If you get 5 minutes, or even 2 minutes, start your Sadhana in that free time. Those who are billionaires today, saved every penny from the profits that they made. That small amount gradually took them to where they are now.

- received the love and association of a genuine saint, who has successfully imparted the knowledge of all the scriptures and
- convincingly accepted the fact that practicing devotion is essential.
Hence, everyone must do Sadhana. If you get 5 minutes, or even 2 minutes, start your Sadhana in that free time. Those who are billionaires today, saved every penny from the profits that they made. That small amount gradually took them to where they are now.
The ultimate aim of life, can only be accomplished by Sadhana. It is wrong to depend totally on destiny, or the grace of God or Guru. Do your Sadhana and feel the grace of God and Guru in it. Do not waste time. It is important to spend only as much time for material purposes as is essential to survive.
Spend the rest of the time for your spiritual upliftment. By doing so, your mind will get purified. Even if you die before God realization, the intensity of your Sadhana will give you an opportunity to attain the human form again. You will again find a Guru, or your same Guru will descend in some other form to guide you. There is no injustice in the realm of God. Guru will not leave you half way. He will always be with you until you realize God.
So, utilize your time wisely and practice devotion.
