JKP Hospitals
![]() Inspired by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj Ji’s spirit of service and strong belief that ‘health is wealth’, JKP India operates several charitable hospitals in rural areas of India where residents have no access to adequate modern health care.
The rural village of Mangarh, approximately 60 km (35 miles) from the city of Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh state was home to JKP's first charitable hospital, which was inaugurated in 2003. The hospital daily treats 600-700 patients. All patients are provided free examinations, prescription medicine and testing, including X-rays, ultrasounds, ECG and and blood tests. Additional free services include ambulance transportation, cataract surgeries, dental care, eye exams and glasses, shelter for outpatients awaiting treatment and inpatient care that includes meals. Following this same model for rural health care, a second charitable hospital was established in Barsana, Uttar Pradesh state, in 2003, which treats approximately 400 patients a day. On February 20, 2008, the ground breaking ceremony was held for the third JKP charitable hospital in the holy land of Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh state. The JKP Vrindaban hospital is expected to be fully operational in 2014. |
